Bold colors are thought to be too risky for brides. But, the truth is that if paired correctly…two bold colors can make a huge RIGHT as long as they have chemistry together. Interestingly enough, usually when pairing bold colors together, the best combinations are of totally opposing colors. Here is one of our favorite examples…turquoise and orange. They couldn’t be more opposite from one another, yet they look absolutely amazing together. So, go on and take a chance with your event’s colors. It could very well be the best risk you have ever taken in your life :)

Are you a girly girl, but with an edge? Pink and black are probably the perfect blend of colors for your event’s color scheme! If you want more of edge you can blend a fuchsia pink with black, or if you want to bring out more of the classy appeal, do light pink with black. Of course, your accent color would be white to neutralize it all. These two colors are the best mixture of chic, classiness, sexiness, and girlyness.

Many brides take table linens for granted and simply choose white or plain colored linens.  But, your reception will be a thousand times more beautiful and memorable with textured or patterned table linens. It helps tie your theme and/or color scheme together as one solid masterpiece. If you want to stick with plain colored table linens to save on money, you can choose to vamp it up with overlays instead. When doing overlays instead, textured and sheer are usually the best option.

Very soon the new Great Gatsby film will be hitting theaters! We recently saw the trailer and it is magical. So much luxury, romance, mystery, and soft yet intense color tones. A Great Gatsby Wedding is a great theme to do for a Spring or Summer wedding. If it is an outdoor event you prefer, you can focus more on the whimsical garden aspect of the film. But, if you are doing the bulk of your event indoors, focus on a venue that has breathtaking chandeliers, and a dark oak facade. Lavender and Sage are some amazing accent colors for this theme. The majority of your event should be ivory and whites to give it that vintage feel. The accent colors will bring it all together of course. Accessories for your decor should either center around vintage would pieces, or fine silvers. It all depends on how lavish, or how cozy you want your event to look.
